Today we had ups and downs. In the morning the road was really well-paved and good. Because of the tailwind, I was even able to cycle at a speed of over 50 km/h in some sections. Unfortunately, the road and then the wind turned. The great average speed of 30 km/h during the first 100 km was thus quickly gone.
In addition, we had a flat tire at the Toyota in the worst wind. With our well-tried tools, we could repair it quickly and replaced the spare tire with the patched.
Kerstin supported me in the Toyota today.The rest of my team went straight to Antofagasta to do the necessary tasks, such as buying food and washing clothes.
The evening hour around 7 p.m. is always the most beautiful. But once the sun is gone, it’s freezing cold again.
